Popa Wu Confronts Action Bronson About Ghostface Issue (video)

Popa Wu exchanged a few words with Action Bronson regarding the latter’s Ghostface comments on ESPN. Looks like the whole matter was handled respectfully, then both Popa Wu and Bronson walked their separate ways. A lot of people are reporting that this took place at Sean Price’s funeral, but it appears to be outside, not inside where the funeral was (presumably) held.* In any case, all talk about Popa Wu “disrespecting” the funeral appear to be highly exaggerated, as the video shows this was just a conversation, as opposed to a screaming match or anything disruptive.

  • I’m assuming Sean Price’s funeral was indoors like every other funeral I’ve ever heard of.

Easy Mo Bee Breaks Down His Relationship With Gza and Rza Pre-36 Chambers

Thankfully, DJ Vlad allows Easy Mo Bee to speak at length rather than interrupting, as Mo Bee breaks down his relationship with Rza and Gza well before “Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)” was recorded (including an explanation regarding how “Shimmy Shimmy Ya” was recorded as a demo long before it was released). Vlad doesn’t seem to have much of a grasp on early 90s hip-hop history, as he seems to think, judging from his brief statement in this video, that Method Man was only featured on Big’s first album because he knew Easy Mo Bee (as opposed to because he was one of the hottest rappers in New York City at that time).

Ghostface Responds To Action Bronson’s Shots In Classic Fashion

Ghost is the greatest.

This is not technically an “interview” but since it’s Ghost responding to Action’s shots in a recent interview (see the post on it below), I’ll tag this that way anyway.

Action Bronson Threw A Shot At Ghostface

While being interviewed, Action Bronson (who was frequently [and, to my ear, rightfully] accused of biting Ghostface early in his career) was recently asked about the impact of the Ghost comparisons on his career and he proceeded to dis Ghost’s most recent output [“He don’t rap like this no more”]. The fan backlash was swift across social media. There were reports that Action apologized on Twitter, but the tweets in question can no longer be found on his timeline.

Marco Rubio Claims To Be A Wu Fan, But Can’t Name One Member?

When asked to name a favorite Wu member, Senator Marco Rubio (a self-professed Wu fan) demurred, mumbling “tha’ts early 90s stuff” – as if he hasn’t listened to Wu in so long, he can’t remember which member is his favorite? Huh? That’s ridiculous and Jon Stewart rightfully clowns Rubio for it in the video above (starting at roughly the 4:10 mark, which is the point at which the video above should begin playing).

Method Man drops video for his single “The Meth Lab” Feat. Hanz On and Streetlife

Above, check out the just-released music video for the lead single from Meth’s eponymous forthcoming album, “The Meth Lab.”

For those of you who don’t know Hanz On, I believe he’s the same gentleman who punched Joe Budden for ridiculing Meth’s right to be ranked highly on a Hottest MC list.

New @MethodMan Freestyle Over Harry Fraud Production: 88 Coupes (originally a @FrenchMontana track)

Method Man is on his promotional warpath for his upcoming solo album, “The Meth Lab,” with a new freestyle over a Harry Fraud beat, the instrumental to French Montana’s “88 Coupes” (all due respect to French, but unsurprisingly Meth outraps French’s original performance on the track).
