New Cappadonna Track “Honor & War” Teams The U.S. With The U.K.

Wu-Tang Instrumentals Murdered By Waka Flocka Flame? Yup!

Waka Flocka Flame murdered a series of classic hip-hop instrumentals here, including two Wu classics.

List of the original songs from which these beats derive:

“Bonita Applebaum” – A Tribe Called Quest

“Da Mystery of Chessboxin” – Wu-Tang Clan

“It’s Funky Enough” The D.O.C.

“Triumph” Wu-Tang Clan

“It Ain’t Hard To Tell” Nas

“Shook Ones Pt II” Mobb Deep

“Flava In Ya Ear” Craig Mack (“a new page need to turn/need to save what we earn/you could slave every day/or live a little while you learn” are the highlight lines from Waka over this beat)

I can’t recall the last song instrumental, but I think it was called “Man In These Streets”

Inspectah Deck – Cynthias Son – Download and Stream | Audiomack.

Shoutout to freelance journalist (and true and living) Wise Math Allah for hipping me to Inspectah Deck’s “Cynthia’s Son” mixtape, which dropped just under two months ago, but somehow I slept on it! Much like Raekwon’s #ThrowbackThursday series, this mixtape finds Deck tearing apart classic breaks. This is candy for the ears of anyone who loves soul and hip-hop! Stream it above!

Rza Speaks On How He Used To Have Rap Battles Where Eric Garner Was Killed

Rza revealed his thoughts on Officer Pantaleo’s (un-indicted) murder of Eric Garner to British media outlet NME. The Garner killing (and the lack of an indictment for it) inspired the politically charged video for the title track to “A Better Tomorrow,” which you can watch above.

Raekwon Speaking On A Better Tomorrow, His Thoughts On Drake And More

The interviewers let Raekwon really speak his piece here with few interruptions. Raekwon tells some classic stories on here, like how him and Ghost could have been on the last Jay-Z album (that would have driven NYC *crazy*).

New Trailer For @Rza’s The Man With The Iron Fists: Sting Of The Scorpion Is Action Packed

Looks like the long-awaited sequel to Rza’s directorial debut, “Man With The Iron Fists,” will be available soon. Entitled “The Man With The Iron Fists: Sting Of The Scorpion,” the sequel stars (but is not directed by) Rza. Seasoned action film director Roel Reiné (The Marine 2, Death Race 3: Inferno) sits in the director’s chair this time out. Wu-Tang Comment On Police Brutality In A Better Tomorrow Video

Eric Garner was killed by NYPD officer Daniel Pantaleo in Staten Island, not far from Rza’s Stapleton stomping grounds, so it’s only right that the Wu comment on the wave of police brutality incidents that have so many people rightfully up in arms. They take the opportunity to do just that in their powerful new video for the title track of their new album, “A Better Tomorrow.”

Ghostface Announces that him and Raekwon are working on OB4CL III

Aside from commenting on police brutality raging across America, near the end of an interview with Vice, Ghost revealed that he and Raekwon will be working on the third installment of Only Built 4 Cuban Linx.

Here’s the full quote from Ghost regarding that project and his other upcoming projects:

[L]ook out for that Blue & Cream, the sequel to Supreme Clientele. It’s almost finished. I’m trying to see if I can release it sometime in August, September 2015, somewhere in the fourth quarter. I got Twelve Reasons to Die part two coming out. And I’m with Raekwon, and we’re gonna do this third Only Built 4 Cuban Linx album. There’s a whole lot of stuff. I got books full of music.

Wu fans, rejoice!
